Detail of manuscript illumination

The 15th Century

Books from the fifteenth century are either manuscripts (copied by hand) or incunables (books from the first few decades of printing). Falvey Memorial Library owns a copy of the Confessions in each of these forms: a Florentine manuscript from around 1456-1480 and an incunable published in 1482.
